Warframe's endgame bosses are the Eidolons on the Plains of Eidolon, the Profit-Taker and Exploiter Orbs in Orb Vallis, your personal Kuva Lich or Sister of Parvos, and the weekly Archimedea. Each has its own unlock: quests, Syndicate rank or a key item. Bring a tuned build and an Operator amp, and expect arcanes, shards, Toroids and weapons.

What are Warframe's endgame bosses?

Warframe does not have one raid. Its "boss ladder" is a set of separate fights that each sit at the end of a different part of the game. As of October 2026 the live update is Update 44, Iceblade of Narin, released on September 23, 2026, and the one-time Operation: Taubound started on October 15. None of that changed how the classic bosses below work. For the full update rundown, read our Warframe Update 44 guide.

Boss or mode Squad size How you unlock it Repeat limit Main rewards
Eidolons (Teralyst, Gantulyst, Hydrolyst) 1 to 4 Reach the Plains of Eidolon at night with an Operator and an amp Night cycle only Eidolon Shards, Brilliant Eidolon Shards, arcanes
Profit-Taker Orb 1 to 4 Old Mate rank with Solaris United, then the Heist bounties Any time Toroid, Debt-Bonds
Exploiter Orb 1 to 4 Diluted Thermia inserted at Deck 12 One Thermia per attempt Lazulite Toroid, Hildryn parts, Vallis resources
Kuva Lich Your squad helps The War Within, Mastery Rank 5 and a Railjack One active nemesis The Lich's Kuva weapon, possible Ephemera
Sister of Parvos Your squad helps The War Within, Call of the Tempestarii and Mastery Rank 5 One active nemesis The Sister's Tenet weapon, recovered credits
Deep / Temporal Archimedea 1 to 4 Cavia rank 5 or The Hex rank 5 after the matching quest 2 Search Pulses, weekly reset Archon Shards, arcanes, standing

On top of these, The Icebind from Update 44 is a six-player mode that only opens after you have reached Elite Archimedea. Mastery Rank matters too: our Warframe Mastery Rank guide explains how to get there quickly. If you are brand new, start with what is Warframe and how do you win.

How do you unlock each Warframe boss?

Here is the order most players follow, from the first open-world boss to the hardest weekly content.

  1. Finish The Second Dream. This gives you your Operator, which you need for Void damage on the Eidolons and to break the Orbs' shields efficiently.
  2. Build an amp in Cetus. Rank up with the Quills on the Plains of Eidolon and craft a better amp. The starter amp works for a Teralyst but struggles after that.
  3. Hunt Eidolons at night. Leave Cetus for the Plains when the night cycle starts. Find the Teralyst, break its synovia joints and capture it with charged Lures. Captures in a row lead to the Gantulyst and Hydrolyst.
  4. Rank Solaris United to Old Mate. Run Orb Vallis bounties from Eudico's camp in Fortuna. Once you reach Old Mate, the Profit-Taker Heist bounties appear on the bounty board.
  5. Collect Diluted Thermia. It comes from the recurring Thermia Fractures event. Carry it to Deck 12, the cave northeast of Harindi Crater, and slot it into the Thermia Condenser to call the Exploiter Orb.
  6. Create your nemesis. After The War Within, with Mastery Rank 5 and a Railjack, kill a Kuva Larvling in a level 20+ Grineer mission and Mercy it. For a Sister, also finish Call of the Tempestarii and earn a Candidate in a Corpus ship mission.
  7. Unlock the Archimedea. Deep Archimedea needs Whispers in the Walls, one Netracell and Cavia rank 5; you enter at the Necraloid in the Sanctum Anatomica. Temporal Archimedea needs The Hex and rank 5 with The Hex, and you start it by talking to Kaya in the Höllvania Central Mall.

Once you clear an Archimedea with all 25 Research Points, the Elite version unlocks permanently, and either Elite version opens The Icebind.

What do you need before you start?

Each boss checks something different, so one "best build" is not enough. The basics for each:

  • Eidolons: a strong amp, Operator focus that helps Void damage, a high-damage sniper or bow, and a squad that agrees who charges the Lures and who carries Energy for the team.
  • Profit-Taker: weapons that cover several elements, because its shield only takes one damage type at a time, plus an archgun with the Gravimag upgrade for the legs.
  • Exploiter Orb: enough mobility to carry canisters, and a build that survives heat and fire damage.
  • Liches and Sisters: patience more than power. You need Requiem mods, the right order and enough runs to kill Thralls or Hounds for Murmurs.
  • Archimedea and The Icebind: fully modded gear with high survivability, because enemy levels are very high and modifiers restrict your loadout.

Use only the tools Digital Extremes allows: the in-game arsenal, community wikis and build sites are fine; macros, mods to the game client and overlays that automate play are not. For squad makeup, two damage dealers, one support with Energy or buffs, and one flexible slot is a safe pattern for Eidolons and Orbs.

Boss-by-boss overview

Eidolon Teralyst, Gantulyst and Hydrolyst

Each Eidolon has shields you strip with Operator Void damage, then synovia weak points on its limbs that you shoot down one by one. Destroying them all lets you capture it with charged Lures for the best rewards. Vomvalysts nearby charge the Lures and can heal the Eidolon if left alone, so one player should handle them.

Profit-Taker Orb

A four-phase fight in Orb Vallis. Read the damage type shown on its forehead and switch weapons to match. When the shield breaks, call your archgun to take out the legs, then damage the body. Pylons make it invulnerable in later phases, so the squad splits up to destroy them fast. After the kill, grab the loot and leave: the Orb self-destructs.

Exploiter Orb

Bring her down, break one vent, then melt the frozen vents with thrown Thermia canisters before destroying them. Kill the Coolant Raknoids before they cool her down, and feed her heat until she overheats. Board her when she does, rip off a hull section and damage the exposed parts. Repeat three times, then run from the explosion.

Kuva Lich and Sister of Parvos

Your nemesis follows you across planets. Kill its Thralls or Hounds for Murmurs that reveal Requiem mods, then try the three mods on your Parazon in different orders when it shows up. A wrong guess costs a charge. The right order makes it flee to its Proxima node, where you vanquish or convert it.

Deep and Temporal Archimedea

Three missions back to back with no breaks and no loadout changes. Weekly modifiers change the rules, so read them before you pick gear and choose modifiers that your build can actually handle.

What loot and rewards can you get?

Rewards are mostly random within each boss's table, so treat these as things you might get, not promises:

  • Eidolons drop Eidolon Shards and, from captures, Brilliant Eidolon Shards and a chance at arcanes.
  • Profit-Taker gives a Toroid and several Debt-Bonds each kill, which feed Solaris United standing.
  • The Exploiter Orb drops a Lazulite Toroid, a Hildryn part blueprint and a large batch of Vallis resources.
  • A Lich carries a Kuva weapon and a Sister a Tenet weapon you see before you create them; either may also carry an Ephemera.
  • Archimedea runs can give Archon Shards, melee arcanes and Syndicate standing, with bigger reward pools at higher Research Points.

Plan around the weekly Search Pulse budget: you get five each week, shared between Netracells and both Archimedea, and they reset on Monday at 0:00 UTC.

Tips to clear Warframe bosses faster

  1. Hunt Eidolons with a regular squad. Pugs fail captures more often than the damage check.
  2. Track the day and night cycle. Arriving just as night falls gives you the whole window.
  3. Keep one weapon per element for Profit-Taker so you never wait on the shield to cycle.
  4. Do the Exploiter Orb while a Thermia Fractures event is up, when Diluted Thermia is easiest to collect.
  5. Write down Requiem guesses. It saves charges and makes the Lich fight far shorter.
  6. Read Archimedea modifiers before the run and change gear to fit, not the other way round.
  7. Save Archimedea for later in the week if you are close on Research Points; the pulses carry no bonus for rushing.
  8. Check our latest patch notes page after each hotfix in case boss timers or rewards change.

Warframe bosses FAQ

What is the hardest boss in Warframe?

For most players the hardest regular fights are a full Eidolon hunt ending in a Hydrolyst capture, and the Profit-Taker on a timed run, because both test damage and teamwork. In pure difficulty, Elite Archimedea and The Icebind push enemies to very high levels and are harder than any single boss. Which one feels hardest depends on your gear and whether you have a regular squad.

How do I unlock the Profit-Taker in Warframe?

Rank up Solaris United, the Fortuna Syndicate, to Old Mate by running Orb Vallis bounties and trading in Debt-Bonds. At that rank the Profit-Taker Heist bounties appear on Eudico's board in Fortuna. The boss fight takes place in the third and fourth stages of the Heist, so you play the earlier stages first in the same session.

Do I need an amp for Eidolons?

Yes. You need your Operator from The Second Dream and an amp to strip Eidolon shields with Void damage. The starter amp can handle a Teralyst slowly, but crafting a stronger amp from the Quills in Cetus makes the Gantulyst and Hydrolyst far more realistic. A good amp also helps on the Profit-Taker's shields.

How long does it take to kill a Kuva Lich?

It depends mostly on how quickly you find the right Requiem order. You need Murmurs from Thralls to reveal the three Requiem mods, then you test orders on the Lich. Some players finish in a few evenings, others take longer if they are short on Requiem mods. Writing down every failed order speeds things up.

What do you need for Deep Archimedea?

Finish Whispers in the Walls, complete one Netracell and reach rank 5 with Cavia. Each week the run costs 2 of your 5 shared Search Pulses, and you start it from the Necraloid in the Sanctum Anatomica. Clearing it with all 25 Research Points unlocks the Elite version, which together with Elite Temporal also opens The Icebind.

Can a Warframe boss carry get my account banned?

There is some risk. The Warframe EULA does not allow account sharing or someone else playing your account to raise your rank, so piloted orders carry the most risk. Self-play squad carries, where you play your own account with us, carry less risk, and coaching carries none. No honest service can promise zero risk.
