A raid carry is a service where an experienced group clears a raid, dungeon or boss with your character so you get the completion, achievements and drops. In a self-play carry you play your own character in their group and keep your login; in a piloted carry a booster logs in and plays for you, which carries more risk.

What is a raid carry?

In multiplayer games, "carrying" means stronger players doing most of the work so a weaker or newer player gets through. A raid carry turns that into a service: a team of experienced players runs a raid, dungeon or boss fight with you in the group, or plays your character for you, so that your character gets the clear.

What you usually get from a carry:

  • The completion credited to your character, often needed for achievements, titles or the next step of a quest.
  • Drops that land on your character during the run.
  • Time saved finding a group, learning mechanics and wiping on the hard parts.

Carries are common in games with group endgame content: World of Warcraft raids and Mythic+ keys, Destiny 2 raids and dungeons, Diablo IV Pit tiers and bosses, and extraction shooters like Escape from Tarkov and ARC Raiders, where the carry is usually called a sherpa or pro-for-hire session.

Self-play vs piloted: what is the difference?

Every carry is one of two types, and the difference matters for price, time and risk:

Self-play (duo) Piloted
Who plays your character You do, in the booster's group A booster logs in and plays
Do you share your login? No Yes, after payment, encrypted and deleted at the end
Do you need to be online? Yes, at agreed times No
Price on our calculator 1.5 times the piloted price Base price
Account risk Lower Higher
Do you learn the content? Yes, you see it first-hand No

Self-play costs more because it needs your schedule and the group carries a player who may not know the fight. In return you keep your login and see how the content works. Some services are self-play only by nature, such as Tarkov sherpa hours, where a veteran raids with you on your own account.

How does a raid carry work, step by step?

  1. Pick the content and mode. Choose the raid, difficulty or dungeon, and self-play or piloted. The price is shown before you pay.
  2. A team is assigned. A vetted, ID-verified booster or group picks up the order.
  3. Schedule or hand over. For self-play, you agree a time and get an invite. For piloted, your login is entered only after payment, stored encrypted and deleted when the order ends.
  4. The run happens. Progress screenshots and messages appear on your private order page.
  5. Stay signed out on piloted orders. If something urgent comes up, message us from your order page.
  6. Completion. You check the result on your character. If we can't finish an order for a reason on our side, we refund the part we didn't deliver.

The full process is on how it works.

How much does a raid or dungeon carry cost?

Prices depend on difficulty, the number of bosses and how long the run takes. Here are our starting prices at the time of writing, as of October 2026:

Game Carry Price
World of Warcraft The Venomous Abyss: Normal / Heroic full clear (8 bosses) $45 / $95
World of Warcraft The Venomous Abyss: Mythic, first boss kill $129
World of Warcraft Mythic+ dungeon, one timed run (+2 to +7 / +8 to +10) $6 / $12
Destiny 2 Raid: Vault of Glass / Salvation's Edge / The Desert Perpetual $25 / $39 / $45
Destiny 2 Dungeon clear, normal / Master $15 / $29
Diablo IV Boss kills, 5 / 20 kills of one boss $8 / $25
Diablo IV Pit carry, Tier 50 / 75 / 100 $8 / $14 / $24
Escape from Tarkov Sherpa raid hours, 1 / 3 / 5 hours $15 / $39 / $59
ARC Raiders Matriarch carry, one kill $14

Working examples: a Heroic Venomous Abyss clear played as self-play costs $142.5, and five Destiny 2 dungeon clears on normal cost $75. If you want a pro alongside you in any game, Play With a Pro hours start at $19 for one hour.

What should you know about carries in each game?

World of Warcraft

The Midnight Season 2 raid is The Venomous Abyss, with eight bosses on Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic. Raid clears follow a schedule and are usually done within 1 to 4 days. Mythic+ keys are a separate dungeon carry; our Mythic+ guide explains rating and Keystone Master. Tell us your region and realm.

Destiny 2

Bungie's final content update arrived on June 9, 2026, and every raid and dungeon is still playable if you own the content. Raids need six players with no matchmaking, which is why carries are popular. See our Destiny 2 raids and Trials guide.

Diablo IV

Here "carry" usually means Pit tier clears and repeat boss kills for specific uniques. The Pit also unlocks the Torment difficulties. Our Diablo 4 leveling and Pit guide covers it.

Escape from Tarkov and ARC Raiders

In extraction shooters a carry is a guided raid. A veteran plays alongside you, helps with tasks, bosses and extracts, and you keep everything you extract with. See the Tarkov leveling and tasks guide and the ARC Raiders leveling guide.

Are raid carries allowed, and what are the risks?

The honest answer: most publishers do not allow account sharing, and many do not allow paid boosting either. Blizzard's rules forbid account sharing and real-money boosting and Blizzard can suspend accounts for it. Bungie, Battlestate Games and Embark all forbid account sharing and can act against accounts that break their rules.

Piloted carries, where someone else logs in, carry real ban risk. Self-play carries less, because your login never leaves you, but they are still a paid service many publishers do not allow, so some risk remains. Coaching carries no account risk at all. Read account safety and is boosting bannable? before you buy, and decide with the risk in mind.

Ways to reduce risk: choose self-play where it is offered, use two-factor authentication, change your password after any piloted order and avoid anyone selling gold, items or accounts. We never sell any of those, and anything that drops during your carry simply stays on your character.

Is a raid carry worth it?

A carry makes the most sense when:

  • You want an achievement, title or completion with a deadline, such as the end of a season.
  • Your schedule does not fit a regular raid group.
  • You have tried the content and keep hitting the same wall.

It makes less sense if you enjoy learning fights with friends, or if you want to get better at the content yourself. In that case a coaching session or a self-play run, where you watch how an experienced group plays, gives you skills you keep. All of our games and services are listed on the games page.

Raid carry FAQ

What does raid carry mean?

A raid carry means experienced players clear a raid with your character so you get the completion, achievements and drops. In self-play you play your own character in their group; in a piloted carry a booster logs in and plays for you. The term is used in World of Warcraft, Destiny 2 and other games with group endgame content.

Do I keep the loot from a carry?

Yes. Anything that drops for your character during the carry stays on your character, the same as if you had joined any other group. We do not sell, trade or promise specific items, and we never sell gold, in-game currency or accounts. Drops follow the game's normal loot rules.

How long does a raid carry take?

The run itself usually takes one to a few hours, depending on the raid and difficulty. Orders are usually finished within a few days: for example, WoW raid clears follow our raid schedule and are usually done within 1 to 4 days, and Destiny 2 raids within 1 to 3 days.

Is a self-play carry safer than a piloted one?

Self-play carries lower risk because you play your own character and never share your login. Piloted carries mean someone else logs in, which breaks most publishers' account-sharing rules and carries real ban risk. Self-play is still a paid service many publishers do not allow, so some risk remains either way.

Why does self-play cost more?

Self-play costs 1.5 times the piloted price on our calculator because the booster group has to fit your schedule and carry a player who may not know the encounter. In return you keep your login, you see the content yourself and your account risk is lower.

Can I play my account while a carry is running?

On a piloted carry, no: please stay signed out until it is finished, and message us from your private order page if something urgent comes up. On a self-play carry you are in the group yourself, so you play as normal. If we can't finish an order for a reason on our side, we refund the part we didn't deliver.
