Warframe Update 44, Iceblade of Narin, launched on September 23, 2026 with Narin, an ice warframe with a rapier, Citrine Prime and The Icebind, a six-player mode against level 999+ enemies. Operation: Taubound, a one-time Epoch Operation, starts on October 15 and leads to Tau in December.
What did Update 44 add?
| Addition | What it is |
|---|---|
| Narin | An ice-themed warframe with a rapier |
| Citrine Prime | The Prime version of Citrine |
| The Icebind | A six-player mode where you ring Cryobells to start random missions against very high-level enemies |
Warframe is on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile with cross-play, as of October 2026.
How do you unlock The Icebind?
You need to finish the Angels of the Zariman and Whispers in the Walls quests, and unlock either Elite Temporal Archimedea or Elite Deep Archimedea. After that, The Icebind opens as a six-player squad mode. Enemies scale above level 999, so bring a strong, tested build.
What is Operation: Taubound?
Taubound is a one-time Epoch Operation starting on October 15, 2026. You help the Sentient ship Praghasa open the way to Tau, collect Moonflesh for rewards such as a Legendary Core and cosmetics, and play a Tau prologue quest. It will not return, so plan to finish its rewards while it runs. Tau itself is planned for December.
Epoch Operations are time-limited by design, so set aside a few sessions while it runs rather than leaving it to the last weekend, and check its reward list early.
Where does Mastery Rank fit?
Mastery Rank goes past 30 into Legendary ranks, up to LR6. You earn mastery by levelling new gear to 30 and clearing the star chart and Steel Path. Our Mastery Rank guide explains the fastest route.
New gear from Update 44, including Narin and Citrine Prime, also counts as new mastery once you build and level it, so every update adds a little to your rank as well as new content to play.

Honest risk note: The Warframe EULA says you may not share or give access to your account, and it bans playing on another person's account to boost level or rank. Self-play squad carries avoid this; piloted orders carry risk. Self-play and coaching keep your login with you and carry less risk than piloted orders. Read our account safety notice before you order. We never sell platinum, credits, prime parts, Riven mods, warframes, weapons, accounts, cheats or macros.
