Destiny 2 raids are all still playable as of October 2026. Bungie released its final content update, Monument of Triumph, on June 9, 2026 and moved the game into maintenance, but raids and dungeons remain if you own the expansion or a Dungeon Key. Trials of Osiris still runs every weekend except Iron Banner weekends.
Is Destiny 2 still playable in 2026?
Yes. Bungie announced on May 21, 2026 that active development of Destiny 2 would end, and Update 9.7.0, the Monument of Triumph update, arrived on June 9, 2026 as the last planned live-service content update. Bungie said it will keep the game playable, and its support page notes that hotfixes may still be released.
What changed for endgame players:
- The Legends node is gone. Raids, dungeons and exotic missions now launch from the Pinnacle Ops node or the new Raids and Dungeons node.
- All raids and dungeons stay available, but you need the matching expansion or a Dungeon Key. Destiny 2: The Collection, released June 9, includes the Dungeon Keys.
- Pantheon, the boss-rush mode, returned as a permanent activity.
- Iron Banner runs every four weeks, and Trials of Osiris runs on the other weekends.
The upshot: the activity list is now fixed. What you can do today is what you will be able to do next year, which makes it a good time to finish the raids and titles you skipped.
Which Destiny 2 raids are worth running now?
Every raid you own is still playable, and most classic raids and dungeons now drop tier gear and can be farmed again. Three raids get the most attention, and they are the ones we run carries for:
| Raid | Why players run it | Master carry offered | Our carry price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vault of Glass | The classic, a good first raid for new players | Yes | $25 (Master $49) |
| Salvation's Edge | One of the hardest raids, with sought-after weapons and title | Yes | $39 (Master $69) |
| The Desert Perpetual | The Edge of Fate raid, the newest of the three | No, standard only | $45 |
Master versions use higher difficulty and are where the extra Master-tier rewards and title upgrades come from. For a first clear, start on normal. Prices above are from our Destiny 2 raid carry at the time of writing.
How do you get into a Destiny 2 raid?
Raids need six players and there is no matchmaking, so the group is the hard part. Your options:
- Check access. Make sure you own the expansion the raid came with, or the Collection. Without it the node will not launch.
- Use the in-game Fireteam Finder. Filter for "learning" or "sherpa" groups if it is your first clear, and say so up front.
- Join a clan. Clans that raid weekly are the most reliable way to learn the encounters.
- Watch one encounter guide per boss. You do not need to memorize everything, but knowing your role saves the group a lot of wipes.
- Bring a solid loadout. Ask what the group needs (often a damage option and a survivability option) and adjust.
A first clear of a hard raid can take an evening or two with a new group. With an experienced team it is much faster.
What about Destiny 2 dungeons?
Dungeons are three-player activities, shorter than raids but with tough boss checks. They stay available through the Raids and Dungeons node if you own the Dungeon Key or the Collection. Many players solo them for the challenge and the triumphs, while others just want the loot and the completion.
Our dungeon clear costs $15 for a normal clear and $29 for Master, for the dungeon you name. Master dungeons have higher difficulty and better reward odds for the hardest drops.
How does Trials of Osiris Flawless work?
Trials of Osiris is the 3v3 elimination PvP mode. You buy a card (a Trials passage), and winning a set run of matches on that card without a loss makes it Flawless, which sends you to the Lighthouse for the top rewards.
As of October 2026:
- Trials runs every weekend, except weekends when Iron Banner is active.
- You need SMS verification on your account and ownership of The Edge of Fate, Renegades or The Collection.
- Monument of Triumph added new map pools and reward weapons, and competitive ranks no longer reset.
Going Flawless is hard because matchmaking puts you against strong teams once your card has wins. Practical tips: play with a fixed team of three, pick one map-control loadout and stick to it, and play the first matches early on Friday or Saturday before the player pool thins out.
A Trials Flawless carry costs $39 for one Flawless card and runs during the weekend Trials schedule.
Is a Destiny 2 raid carry worth it?
A carry makes sense when you want a completion, a title step or a weapon roll chance but cannot find a reliable group. Here is what our main options cost at the time of writing:
| Service | Price | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| Vault of Glass / Salvation's Edge / The Desert Perpetual | $25 / $39 / $45 | 1 to 3 days |
| Master Vault of Glass / Master Salvation's Edge | $49 / $69 | 1 to 3 days |
| Dungeon clear, normal / Master | $15 / $29 | 1 to 2 days |
| Trials of Osiris Flawless card | $39 | During the weekend |
| Grandmaster Nightfall, one / five clears | $15 / $65 | 1 to 5 days |
| Endgame Bundle (one raid, one dungeon, one Grandmaster Nightfall) | $59 | 3 to 7 days |
The Grandmaster Nightfall carry uses whatever activity that week's playlist offers. If you want one of each, the bundle is $59, compared with $55 for the lowest-priced raid, a normal dungeon and one Grandmaster bought one by one; with Salvation's Edge as the raid, separate orders would be $69, so the bundle saves money on the harder raids. Self-play orders cost 1.5 times the piloted price, so a Salvation's Edge clear on your own Guardian is $58.5.
Bungie's terms do not allow sharing your account, and Bungie can restrict accounts that break its rules. A piloted carry, where a booster logs in to your Guardian, carries real risk. Self-play, where you join our fireteam on your own Guardian and keep your login, carries less. Destiny 2 has cross-play, so self-play works from any platform. The process is the same for every order and is described on how it works. You see the price before paying. A vetted, ID-verified booster team picks up the order. For self-play you get a fireteam invite at an agreed time; for piloted, your login is entered only after payment, stored encrypted and deleted when the order is done. Progress screenshots and messages appear on your private order page. On piloted orders, stay signed out of your account while the order runs; if something urgent comes up, message us from your order page. If we can't finish an order for a reason on our side, we refund the part we didn't deliver.

Destiny 2 raids FAQ
Can you still play Destiny 2 raids after the final update?
Yes. Monument of Triumph, the final content update, launched on June 9, 2026, and Bungie said the game remains playable. All raids and dungeons are still available, but you need the expansion they came with, a Dungeon Key, or Destiny 2: The Collection. They launch from the Pinnacle Ops node or the Raids and Dungeons node.
What is the hardest Destiny 2 raid?
Salvation's Edge is widely seen as one of the hardest Destiny 2 raids, especially on Master difficulty, because its encounters demand tight coordination from all six players. Vault of Glass is the usual pick for a first raid. Our Salvation's Edge carry costs $39, or $69 on Master, at the time of writing.
When is Trials of Osiris available?
Trials of Osiris runs every weekend except the weekends when Iron Banner is live, and Iron Banner comes around every four weeks. To play Trials you need SMS verification on your Bungie account and ownership of The Edge of Fate, Renegades or Destiny 2: The Collection.
How long does a Destiny 2 raid carry take?
The raid itself usually takes an hour or two with an experienced team. Orders are normally finished within 1 to 3 days, depending on scheduling, especially for self-play where you join at an agreed time. Trials Flawless cards are played during the weekend Trials schedule.
Will I get banned for a Destiny 2 carry?
Bungie's terms do not allow account sharing, and Bungie can restrict accounts that break its rules, so piloted carries carry real risk. Self-play carries less, because you play your own Guardian and keep your login. No honest service can promise a carry will never lead to action on your account.
Do I need to own the expansion for a raid carry?
Yes. Raids and dungeons only launch if your account owns the matching expansion, a Dungeon Key or Destiny 2: The Collection. Check this before ordering. If you are not sure which content you own, ask before checkout and we will tell you which activities your account can open.
