On the Global servers, which opened on October 5, 2026, most players hit the Season 1 cap of 45 in roughly 10 to 15 hours of play. Experienced MMO players who skip dialogue land at the low end. Players who explore every corner take longer, which is fine if you enjoy it.
Leveling in AION 2 is a means to an end. Real progress starts at 45, when Combat Power and weekly content take over, as explained in our AION 2 global launch guide.
What is the fastest leveling route?
- Main story first. It gives the biggest experience chunks and unlocks systems and zones in the right order.
- Side quests on your path. Take the ones in the area you are already in; skip ones that send you back across the map.
- Early dungeons when they open. They give experience and gear upgrades at the same time.
- Upgrade gear as you go. A quick upgrade saves more time than it costs, because fights get faster.
Group play speeds up dungeons, but solo questing is perfectly viable for most of the climb.
Does your class change how you should level?
Every class can reach 45 comfortably. Ranged and caster classes often clear groups of monsters faster, while tougher melee classes can pull more at once and rest less. What matters most is learning your rotation early, because the same buttons carry into Expeditions and Transcendence later.
Pick the faction and server your friends are on, since that choice stays with the character.

What should you do the moment you hit 45?
Set up your weekly routine. Check which Expeditions and Transcendence stages you can clear, start the Daevanion board, and look at Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds for one-time rewards. These all add to Combat Power. If PvP interests you, the 4v4 arena is a friendlier start than 1v1.
