What happened at the AION 2 global launch?
AION 2 opened to North America and Europe on October 5, 2026. It is free to play on PC, and Founder's Pack owners started five days earlier. Demand was strong: the game passed 400,000 concurrent players on Steam on launch day, and NCSOFT opened extra servers, mostly in Europe.
Two launch rules matter for new players. Direct player-to-player trading stayed disabled at launch, and you pick a faction, Elyos or Asmodian, that stays with that character. Choose a server where your friends play, because moving later is not simple. These facts are as of October 2026.
How fast can you reach the level 45 cap?
Season 1 on Global caps at level 45. Most players reach it in roughly 10 to 15 hours through the main story, side quests and early dungeons. The story is worth following on your first character because it unlocks systems and areas you need later.

What is Combat Power in AION 2?
Once you hit 45, your level stops rising and Combat Power becomes the number that matters. It comes from several systems that stack together:
- Gear: item level and upgrades from dungeons and bosses.
- Daevanion: a progression board for your class.
- Arcana and stigmas: extra skill and stat layers.
- Titles: small bonuses from achievements.
Higher Combat Power opens harder stages of the weekly content, which in turn drop better gear.

Rewards are capped by weekly charges, so a steady routine beats marathon sessions.
Is PvP required in AION 2?
No. PvP is optional. The Abyss faction war, the 1v1 and 4v4 arenas and 10v10 battlegrounds are there for players who want them, and none are required to progress in PvE. If you do try the arena, practise 4v4 with friends first; 1v1 is far less forgiving.

How does a AION 2 order work?
Every order follows the same steps, laid out in full on our how it works page:
