Wardogs is a military first-person shooter from Bulkhead, published by Team17, in Steam Early Access since September 10, 2026. Up to 100 players split into three rival teams and fight for a central Control Zone. You win by holding that zone, securing cash and surviving long enough to keep it.

What is Wardogs?

Wardogs is a large-scale tactical shooter made by Bulkhead, a studio in Derby in the UK, and published by Team17. It entered Early Access on Steam on September 10, 2026, priced at $39.99 at launch. It sold more than a million copies in its first day, and its only optional paid extra at launch was a cosmetic Supporters Edition.

Matches put up to 100 players on three rival teams instead of the usual two, with vehicles, buildable defences and an economy built around cash. It is on PC only for now; console versions are not expected before 2028.

As of October 2026 the game is in its first season of Early Access. Season 2 is due on October 15, 2026, and it is the first progression wipe. Our Wardogs services page covers what we can help with.

What is the objective of Wardogs?

Every match centres on the Control Zone. All three teams compete for it, trying to secure cash from it and stay alive long enough to bank what they have earned. Because a third team is always lurking, winning a fight is not the end of the story; the team that waits can strike while the other two are weakened.

Cash is the heart of the game. It is not just a score: it decides which weapons, equipment and vehicles you can buy and how much you stand to lose. Dying, buying a vehicle and other choices all change your balance, so spending wisely is part of winning.

How do you win a match in Wardogs?

Bulkhead describes the goal as controlling the zone, securing cash and surviving to keep it. Detailed scoring rules have not been published in the sources we checked, so we describe the core loop rather than exact numbers.

Mode Team size How you win
Standard match (Early Access) Up to 100 players on three teams Take and hold the Control Zone, secure cash and survive to keep it
Season progress Your account Earn levels, weapon unlocks and cosmetics during the season, knowing a wipe can reset them

Season 2 adds weapons such as the M14 DMR and PP-19 Bizon, vehicles including the T-72B3 tank and the Gepard anti-air vehicle, new buildables like an MG nest, a rain weather preset that affects sight lines and sound, and an experimental wager vendor where you bet cash on finishing objectives under extra conditions.

How does ranked or progression work?

Wardogs progression is about unlocks rather than a classic ranked ladder: you earn levels, weapon unlocks and cosmetics by playing. We could not confirm a ranked matchmaking ladder in the current Early Access build.

Season 2 on October 15, 2026, wipes levels, unlocks, cosmetics earned so far and purchases. Leftover cash converts into Gold Bars, which buy exclusive cosmetics from the Black Market. Bulkhead has also warned that players who stay on XP farm servers risk a permanent ban. For more, read our Wardogs Season 2 and Early Access guide and the Wardogs roles guide. Beginner tips to win more

  • Watch the third team. Before committing to a fight, check where the other enemy team is so you are not caught in between.
  • Treat cash like a life bar. Every death and purchase costs money, so do not throw away an expensive loadout on a risky push.
  • Stick with your squad. A squad that moves and buys together holds ground far better than lone players.
  • Build cover in the zone. Buildables such as shelters and gun nests help you hold the Control Zone.
  • Learn one vehicle well. Vehicles move squads fast and win fights, but crashing wastes money.
  • Play real matches only. Avoid XP farm servers; Bulkhead has warned that staying on them can get you banned.
  • Do not over-grind before a wipe. With Season 2 resetting progress, spend this time learning maps and the economy.

How can Boosting Games help with Wardogs?

Boosting Games sells fixed-price Wardogs services, played only in real matches on normal servers. Prices below are starting prices as of October 2026, and the exact price for your option shows before checkout. You can browse everything in the Wardogs services collection, and our how it works page walks through an order step by step.

Service What you get Price

Honest risk note: We found no published Wardogs rule that names boosting, but Steam's terms do not allow you to share your account, and Bulkhead has warned that staying on XP farm servers can lead to a permanent ban. Piloted orders carry the most risk, squad sessions less, and coaching none. Read our account safety notice before you order. We never sell cash, Gold Bars, accounts, items, cheats or mods, and we never use XP farm servers.

Wardogs FAQ

Is Wardogs free to play?

No. Wardogs is a paid game in Steam Early Access, priced at $39.99 when Early Access began on September 10, 2026. At launch the only optional extra was a cosmetic Supporters Edition, and Bulkhead said in-game cash and Gold Bars are not sold for real money. Check Steam for the current price.

How many players are in a Wardogs match?

Up to 100 players take part, split across three rival teams. Having three sides changes how fights play out, because a team that wins one battle can be attacked by the third team while it is weakened. Squads that watch the whole map tend to do better. Teams that pick their moment to strike usually beat teams that rush every fight.

Is Wardogs on PS5 or Xbox?

Not yet. Wardogs is on PC through Steam Early Access. Bulkhead has said console versions are not expected before 2028, so for now every match is played on PC. Our Wardogs services are PC only for the same reason. We will update this guide if a console date is announced, and add console services only once those versions are live.

What does the Wardogs Season 2 wipe reset?

Season 2 arrives on October 15, 2026, and is the first progression wipe. Levels, unlocks, purchases and cosmetics earned so far are reset so everyone starts level. Any cash you have left converts into Gold Bars, which you can spend on exclusive cosmetics from the Black Market. Bulkhead has said later seasons may not follow the same timing.

How do you win in Wardogs?

Your team wins by fighting for the central Control Zone, securing cash there and surviving long enough to keep it. Because cash also pays for your weapons and vehicles, careful spending and staying alive are as important as winning gunfights against the two other teams. A squad that keeps its money and holds the zone usually comes out ahead.

Do you sell Wardogs cash or Gold Bars?

No. We never sell cash, Gold Bars, accounts, items, cheats or mods, and we never use XP farm servers. We sell squad sessions, leveling in real matches, pilot and driver training and coaching. All progress comes from normal play. Self-play and coaching options keep your Steam login with you, which carries less risk than piloted orders.
