If you are new, our What Is Zenless Zone Zero beginner guide explains the basics first.

What has Season 3 brought so far?

Season 3 began with version 3.0 on June 17, 2026, the same day Zenless Zone Zero launched on Steam. Version 3.2 followed on September 9, and 3.3 arrived on October 21. The season's story centers on Roscaelifer, a set of floating islands, and each version adds a new chapter, new agents and new events.

If you are behind on the story, you can catch up at your own pace. Cutscenes can be replayed later in the game, so rushing to endgame first does not lock you out.

What do Phoenix, Severian and the mech mode add?

Phoenix headlines the first half of 3.3, and Severian is expected in the second half around November 11. As always, new agents are optional. Agents you already own can clear the endgame with the right builds and good play.

The new mech combat mode is the version's big gameplay addition. It plays differently from regular agent combat and ties into the 3.3 story missions. Treat it as a fresh learning curve, with its own controls and timing.

How does Shiyu Defense work?

Shiyu Defense is a timed floor challenge. Each stage is rated, and S ranks pay Polychrome. The hardest floors rotate on a short cycle, while older permanent nodes stay open until you clear them.

  • Bring two squads that cover different enemy weaknesses.
  • Read the floor buffs and pick agents that benefit from them.
  • Clear fast: your rating depends on time, so stun enemies and use chain attacks.
  • Go back for permanent nodes you skipped as your roster grows.

How do Deadly Assault scores and resets work?

Deadly Assault puts three of your squads against three bosses, one squad per boss. Each fight is scored, and the total decides your stars and rewards. The mode resets about every two weeks with new bosses and buffs.

Detail What to know
Unlock Inter-Knot Level 40, after Shiyu Defense and its intro commission
Format Three bosses, three squads, scored fights
Reset About every two weeks
What helps Strong stun and chain attack timing, plus matched buffs

Because each agent can only be used once per cycle, roster depth matters as much as one star squad.

What about Inter-Knot Level and HoYoverse rules?

Inter-Knot Level gates much of the endgame. If you are below 40, raising it unlocks Deadly Assault and better rewards. Spend Battery Charge daily, finish commissions and do the rank-up missions as they appear.

HoYoverse's terms forbid sharing, selling or transferring accounts. Zenless Zone Zero is single-player, so clears and leveling are piloted on your account, which carries risk. Coaching is the no-login option. We never sell Polychrome, memberships or accounts, and nobody can promise specific agents or disc rolls.

ZZZ FAQ

When did Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 come out?

Version 3.3, Journey to the Sky, launched Oct 21, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and mobile. Phoenix headlines the first half. Severian is expected in the second half around Nov 11. The patch continues the Roscaelifer story and adds a mech combat mode. Endgame modes reset on their own cycles.

What are the endgame modes in Zenless Zone Zero?

There are two main ones. Shiyu Defense is a timed floor challenge that rates each stage and pays Polychrome for S ranks. Deadly Assault puts three of your squads against three bosses for a score and resets about every two weeks. Both reward skill as much as roster strength. Check both timers each week.

What Inter-Knot Level do I need for Deadly Assault?

Deadly Assault opens at Inter-Knot Level 40, after Shiyu Defense is unlocked and its intro commission is done. If you are below 40, an Inter-Knot Level order gets you there first. We then check your agents before promising any score target. Spending Battery Charge daily and finishing commissions is the steadiest way to reach 40 on your own.

Is it safe to let someone play my ZZZ account?

No service can promise that. HoYoverse's terms forbid account sharing, so piloted orders carry risk. We play by hand with no cheats, macros or scripts. If you would rather not share access, coaching is the no-login option. Never share email login codes with anyone. Read our account safety notice before you decide.

Do you sell Polychrome or ZZZ accounts?

No. We never sell Polychrome, Monochrome Film, membership, Master Tapes or accounts, and we never promise specific agents or disc rolls. We clear Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault, finish story and agent content, raise Inter-Knot Level and build agents you already own, all at fixed prices. You keep every reward.

Do I need Phoenix or Severian to clear 3.3 endgame?

No. New agents are optional. Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault can be cleared with agents you already own if they are built well and matched to the cycle's buffs and enemy weaknesses. Good dodges, assists and chain attacks often matter as much as having the newest agent on your squad.
