PUBG ranks in PUBG: Battlegrounds run Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Crystal, Diamond, Master and Survivor. The first six tiers have four divisions each. You gain or lose Rank Points (RP) each match, between -44 and +44, from placement and kills. Survivor needs 3,700 RP and a limited regional slot.
What are the PUBG ranks in order?
This guide covers PUBG: Battlegrounds on PC and console. PUBG Mobile has a different rank system with different names.
KRAFTON rebuilt ranked in Season 36 (June 2025). The revamp added Crystal between Platinum and Diamond, replaced the old Top 500 tier with Survivor, cut each tier from five divisions to four, and unified RP across Duo and Squad and across FPP and TPP. As of October 2026 that structure is still in place.
| Order | Tier | Divisions | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bronze | 4 | Starting tier for new ranked players |
| 2 | Silver | 4 | |
| 3 | Gold | 4 | First tier with a ranked weapon skin reward |
| 4 | Platinum | 4 | Platinum medal reward |
| 5 | Crystal | 4 | Added in Season 36 |
| 6 | Diamond | 4 | |
| 7 | Master | None | Animated nameplate reward |
| 8 | Survivor | None | 3,700+ RP and a regional slot |
How does RP work in PUBG ranked?
Rank Points (RP) move after every ranked match. Since the Season 36 revamp, a single match changes your RP by somewhere between -44 and +44. Two things drive it:
- Placement. Finishing high is the main source of RP. Finishing low costs points.
- Kills and assists. Eliminations add RP on top of placement, but they can't save a very early exit.
Team kills and suicides now take RP away directly instead of just lowering your kill count, so friendly-fire mistakes hurt.
Because RP is unified, your rank is the same whether you queue Duo or Squad, FPP or TPP. Which queues exist depends on your region and platform, and KRAFTON adjusts them by population. In Season 40, for example, it added TPP Squad in NA and SA and removed FPP Squad there.
How do you reach Survivor rank in PUBG?
Survivor is the highest PUBG rank and the hardest to hold. You need all three:
- Live RP of 3,700 or more.
- Leaderboard RP of 3,700 or more.
- A place within your region's Survivor slots.
The slot counts are small and vary by region. At launch of the system, PC had 200 slots in AS, 100 in SEA, 50 each in EU, KAKAO and RU, and only 5 in NA and SA. Console had 50 in NA, 20 in EU and 5 in APAC and SA. KRAFTON says these can change with matchmaking conditions.
Survivor has no tier protection. If your live RP falls below 3,700 you drop to Master immediately, and you are promoted back if you recover before the next leaderboard update.
How do PUBG ranked seasons and resets work?
Each ranked season ends with rewards based on your final tier, then the leaderboard resets after server maintenance. Your previous season's final tier stays visible on your Career page, and your starting point in the new season is based on your final RP from the season before.
Recent tier rewards look like this:
| Final tier | Rewards (Season 39 example) |
|---|---|
| Bronze / Silver | Tier emblem |
| Gold | Emblem, ranked weapon skin, ranked parachute skin |
| Platinum | Animated emblem, weapon skin, parachute, Platinum medal |
| Crystal / Diamond | Animated emblem, weapon skin, parachute, medals for each tier passed |
| Master / Survivor | Animated emblem and nameplate, weapon skin, parachute, all medals |
Weapon skins, parachute skins and medals are permanent. Emblems and nameplates only last one season.
How do you rank up faster in PUBG?
- Value placement over kills. With RP capped at ±44 per match, a top-five finish with two kills often beats a hot drop with six kills and an early death.
- Land with a plan. Pick a drop that gives your squad loot without a fight in the first minute, then rotate early toward the safe zone.
- Use the edge of the zone. Playing the edge keeps enemies in front of you and away from your back.
- Stay with your squad. Assists count, and a squad that trades together survives longer. Spread-out squads get picked off one by one.
- Avoid team damage. Team kills now cost RP directly. Be careful with grenades and vehicles.
- Know when to stop. Two early exits in a row usually means you are tilted or the lobby is unlucky. Take a break, read how to stop tilting.

PUBG ranks FAQ
What is the highest rank in PUBG?
Survivor is the highest rank in PUBG: Battlegrounds. To hold it you need at least 3,700 live RP and 3,700 leaderboard RP and a place within your region's limited Survivor slots, which range from 5 to 200 depending on region and platform. Below Survivor is Master, which has no divisions.
How many divisions are in each PUBG rank?
Since the Season 36 revamp in June 2025, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Crystal and Diamond each have four divisions, down from five. Master and Survivor have no divisions. The revamp also added Crystal between Platinum and Diamond.
What is Crystal rank in PUBG?
Crystal is a tier added in Season 36, placed between Platinum and Diamond. It has four divisions like the other lower tiers. Finishing a season in Crystal gives an animated emblem, a ranked weapon skin, a parachute skin and the Platinum and Crystal medals.
How much RP do you get per match in PUBG?
Since Season 36, a ranked match changes your RP by between -44 and +44. Placement is the biggest factor, with kills and assists adding to it. Team kills and suicides now take RP away directly. Finishing very early usually costs points even with a couple of kills.
Is PUBG ranked separate for duo and squad?
No. Since Season 36 tiers and RP are unified across Duo and Squad and across FPP and TPP, so you have one rank. Which queues are available depends on your region and platform, and KRAFTON changes them based on player population.
Are PUBG Mobile ranks the same as PUBG: Battlegrounds?
No. PUBG Mobile uses its own tiers, such as Ace and Conqueror, and its own point system. This guide covers PUBG: Battlegrounds on PC and console, where the tiers are Bronze to Diamond, then Master and Survivor.
