Battlefield 6 ranked lives in REDSEC, the free battle royale. You unlock it at Career Rank 5, then climb Rookie, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Master, each with five divisions, by earning Ranked Points from kills, assists and placement. The top 250 Master players per platform reach Elite.

How does Battlefield 6 ranked work?

Ranked is only available in Battlefield REDSEC, the battle royale that comes with Battlefield 6 and is also free to play on its own. It is not in the regular Battlefield 6 multiplayer modes. Matches are 25 squads of four on a shrinking ring.

You start Unranked. Each match you pay an entry fee in Ranked Points (RP) and then earn RP for confirmed kills, confirmed assists and your final placement. Earn more than the fee and you climb. Fall short and you lose RP. As of October 2026 the rules below follow EA's ranked guide and its Season 4 update, the latest published changes at the time of writing.

How do you unlock ranked in Battlefield 6?

You need Career Rank 5. Career XP from both Battlefield 6 multiplayer and REDSEC counts, so a few evenings of play is usually enough. Battlefield 6 owners get ranked automatically, and players who only have the free REDSEC can play it too.

Ranked queues only as full squads of four, and everyone in the squad must be within two ranks of each other. A Silver player can squad with anyone from Rookie to Platinum, for example. PC and console are matched separately, and mixed squads go into PC matchmaking.

What are the Battlefield 6 ranks and entry fees?

There are seven ranks with five divisions each, numbered I (lowest) to V. Promotion to a new rank starts you at division I.

Rank Divisions Entry fee per match (from Season 4)
Rookie I–V 0 RP
Bronze I–V 20 RP
Silver I–V 30 RP
Gold I–V 35 RP
Platinum I–V 50 RP
Diamond I–V 60 RP
Master I–V 90 RP
Elite (top 250) Leaderboard 90 RP

Elite is not a rank you reach by points alone: it is the top 250 Ranked Points earners in Master on each platform for the season.

How do Ranked Points work in REDSEC?

RP comes from three sources: confirmed kills, confirmed assists and final placement. Since Season 4:

  • Assists are worth the same RP as kills.
  • The kill-and-assist cap doubled from 4 to 8 per match. After the cap, each extra kill or assist gives 10% of its normal value.
  • The top 22 squads earn placement RP (up from the top 14).
  • Rookie division thresholds dropped by 100 RP and Bronze by 50 RP.
  • Vehicle keycards, main battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles were removed from ranked.

Shields and demotion

When you enter a new rank or division you get demotion shields, which stop an instant drop after a bad game. Demotion only happens if fees keep beating your earnings. Quitting a match costs you the fee and all the RP you earned in it, and repeat quitters get a ranked cooldown. If a teammate leaves and you stay, you are not penalized.

What happens at the end of a season?

Ranks reset and your new starting rank depends on where you finished. At the Season 4 reset, for example, Gold and Platinum players restarted at Silver I, and Diamond and Master restarted at Gold I. End-of-season rewards follow your finishing rank, not your peak, and include rewards for every lower rank.

How do you climb faster in Battlefield 6 ranked?

  1. Play for top 22, then top 10. Placement RP now reaches more squads, and with the kill cap it is the most reliable source of points.
  2. Get your 8 kills and assists, then stop forcing fights. After the cap, extra eliminations give only 10%. A third-partied squad loses more than it gains.
  3. Use assists. They now pay the same as kills, so damage you deal while a teammate finishes counts fully. Play close together.
  4. Never quit early. Leaving costs the fee and every point you earned. Spectate and stay for your teammates' placement.
  5. Stay with one squad. Ranked is four-player only. A regular squad with set roles beats random fill every time.
  6. Get your loadout ready first. Weapons with their attachments unlocked make the early climb much smoother, see below.

How does leveling and weapon mastery work in Battlefield 6?

Outside ranked, progression has two layers:

  • Career Rank goes up with XP from any mode and unlocks weapons, gadgets and attachments. It is also the gate for ranked (Career Rank 5).
  • Weapon mastery goes up as you use a specific weapon and unlocks its attachments and cosmetics.

Fast ways to level: play objective modes where capturing, reviving and resupplying all pay XP, stick to one weapon until its key attachments are open, and play with a squad so you share objective XP. Ranked progress and Career XP are separate, but a well-kitted weapon makes the ranked climb easier.

We sell climbs up to Master 5. Elite is a top-250 leaderboard spot, so we don't sell it. You see the price before paying, a vetted, ID-verified booster takes the order, and progress shows on your private order page. See how it works.

EA's User Agreement does not allow sharing your login, and EA treats third-party boosting as against its rules. A piloted service, where a booster plays on your account, carries real ban risk. Duo carries less because you play on your own account, and coaching carries none. Read account safety first.
