What happens in the Astropolis story?
Version 4.6 continues the Planarcadia chapter that began in 4.0. The new Astropolis story adds Trailblaze Missions, new areas to explore and the usual chests, puzzles and collectibles. Finishing the story and exploring each area pays Stellar Jade, which is the main free reward in the game.
If you are behind, you can catch up at your own pace. Cutscenes can be rewatched later in the Data Bank, so you will not miss the story if you rush to the endgame first.
How do the endgame cycles work?
The three rotating modes each run for about six weeks on a staggered cycle. Each pays Stellar Jade for stars, so clearing every cycle is a steady free income.

Each cycle has its own buffs that favor certain types of teams. Read them before you start, and swap characters to fit the cycle rather than forcing the same team every time.
How do you unlock Anomaly Arbitration?
Anomaly Arbitration is the hardest boss mode. To unlock it you need Equilibrium Level 6, which opens at Trailblaze Level 65. You also need to fully clear the highest difficulty of Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction and Apocalyptic Shadow at least once each. The clears do not need to be in the same cycle.
Once it is open, three Knight stages lead to the King in Check boss. Rewards include cosmetics and Lone Stardust rather than large amounts of Jade, so it is a goal for players who enjoy a hard challenge.
What about Divergent Universe and Currency Wars?
Divergent Universe and Currency Wars are roguelike modes. They give weekly points plus one-time rewards for clearing each difficulty. They take time more than skill once your team is built, so many players run them at the start of each week and move on.
- Do the weekly points every week. Missed weeks do not roll over.
- Clear the one-time difficulty rewards as your team gets stronger.
- Use the modes to test new team ideas before an endgame cycle.
What about Trailblaze Level and HoYoverse rules?
Trailblaze Level caps at 70, and each Trial of Equilibrium raises your reward tier. Spending Trailblaze Power every day is the steadiest way up. Planning around TL 65 matters most, because that is where Equilibrium Level 6 and Anomaly Arbitration open.
