Horde Siege is the PvE heart of Gears of War: E-Day, which launched on October 6, 2026. Twelve players in three squads share a map. Each run has primary objectives, and once your squad completes enough of them, extraction opens and you move to the extraction zone. Failing objectives or wiping ends the run.

Difficulty runs from Rookie to Infantry, Commander and Allfather. The first three have recommended class levels of roughly 0 to 10, 10 to 20 and 20 to 30, and Allfather is the max-level challenge. Jumping up too soon is the most common reason runs fail: enemies hit harder, objectives move faster and mistakes cost the whole squad.
How do squads win Horde Siege runs?
- Balance the squad. One Medic changes everything on higher difficulty.
- Talk about objectives. Splitting up without a plan loses runs.
- Watch the other squads. Help them when your area is clear; a failed squad drags the run down.

What is the fastest way to level a class?
Play missions you can finish. A completed Siege mission on a comfortable difficulty usually beats a failed attempt on a harder one. Stick with the same squad when you can, keep your class role consistent so you earn its experience, and step up a difficulty once runs feel easy. Class levels run to 30, and that is the level the game expects for Allfather.
A simple plan for a new player: learn the maps on Rookie and Infantry with your main class, move to Commander once you are around level 20, and treat Allfather as a goal for when that class is maxed. Keep a second class in reserve so you can fill whatever role your squad is missing, especially Medic. As of October 2026 the mode is brand new, so expect the community's favourite strategies to keep changing as players learn it.
