How do you qualify for FUT Champions in FC 27?
You qualify with Champions Qualification Points. EA's help page says you earn them in Division Rivals based on the division you play in, so higher divisions earn points much faster than lower ones. Launch coverage puts the threshold at 1,000 points for the opening season, and says the points must be in place before the weekend competition starts on Friday evening.
Two honest caveats. First, EA's own help text still says the points qualify you for the "Champions Play-Offs", while launch coverage describes the points leading straight into the weekend matches, so check the Champions screen in your game for the exact steps this season. Second, thresholds can rise in later seasons. The in-game screen is the only source that is always current.
The practical takeaway does not change: the faster you climb Rivals, the easier qualifying gets.
How does Division Rivals work?
Division Rivals is the ladder that feeds Champions. According to EA:
- There are 11 divisions: Division 10 up to Division 1, then the Elite Division.
- Each division has stages. A win moves you up one stage, a draw keeps you where you are and a loss may drop you a stage.
- Two wins in a row start a win streak, and each further win in the streak moves you up two stages until you draw or lose.
- Checkpoints stop you from dropping below them after future losses.
- Weekly rewards depend on your division and how many points you earn that week, and are released on Thursdays at 06:59 UTC.
- Placement resets each Ultimate Team Season.
Because win streaks double your progress, a session where you play while focused, and stop after two losses, climbs much faster than a long tilted session.

- Defend with your midfielders and keep your center backs in position. Pulling defenders out of the line is the most common way to concede.
- Review your losses. Watch where goals came from. A short coaching or VOD review session can point out the same mistake repeating.
