The Black Ops 7 camo grind runs separately in Multiplayer, Zombies, Campaign and Warzone. On each weapon you first earn nine military camos and three special camos, then four mastery camos. In Multiplayer that is Shattered Gold, Arclight, Tempest and Singularity, which needs Tempest on 30 weapons.
How does the Black Ops 7 camo grind work?
Black Ops 7 has four separate camo tracks: Multiplayer, Zombies, Campaign and Warzone. Each mode has its own military, special and mastery camos, and progress in one mode does not count toward another. That is good news: you can pick the mode you enjoy most and grind there.
Every track follows the same pattern:
- Military camos (9 per weapon). Unlocked in order from the first time you use the weapon, with a kill-based challenge for each.
- Special camos (3 per weapon). Harder challenges that unlock after the military set.
- First mastery camo (per weapon). One more challenge on that weapon once its 12 base camos are done.
- Second mastery camo (per class). Needs the first mastery camo on every weapon in that class.
- Third mastery camo (30 weapons). Needs the second mastery camo on 30 weapons, plus a challenge.
- Fourth mastery camo. Unlocks automatically once the third is on 30 weapons.
As of October 2026 the game is in Season 6, and every season also adds event and completion camos on top of this list.
How do you unlock military camos in BO7?
Military camos are the long part. In Multiplayer the core requirement is headshot kills, around 80 headshot kills per weapon for most guns across the nine camos. Shotguns use point-blank kills and snipers use one-shot kills instead. In Zombies the requirement is critical kills (roughly 1,000 per weapon), in Campaign it is also critical kills, and in Warzone it is eliminations.
The nine Multiplayer military camos are Foliage, Desert, City Digital, Pine, Forest, Sludge, Plateau, Nocturne and Topaz Snake. The three Multiplayer specials are Diamondback, Raptor and Mainframe. Zombies and Warzone have their own named sets.
Tips for military camos
- Pick small, fast maps and modes with constant action. More engagements per minute means more headshots per hour.
- Run attachments that cut recoil so your aim stays on the head. Level the weapon first so those attachments are open.
- Use your Double Weapon XP tokens on the same session. They speed up weapon levels, not camo challenges, but levelled guns are easier to land headshots with.
What are the Black Ops 7 mastery camos and requirements?
There are 16 mastery camos in total, four per mode. Here is the Multiplayer ladder with the challenge for each one:
| Tier | Multiplayer camo | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shattered Gold | All 12 base camos on the weapon, then get 3 kills without dying, 10 times |
| 2 | Arclight | Shattered Gold on every weapon in the class, then 10 double kills or better |
| 3 | Tempest | Arclight on 30 weapons, then get 5 kills without dying, 3 times |
| 4 | Singularity | Tempest on 30 weapons (no extra challenge) |
The other modes use the same tier structure with their own names:
| Mode | Tier 1 | Tier 2 | Tier 3 | Tier 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Multiplayer | Shattered Gold | Arclight | Tempest | Singularity |
| Zombies | Golden Dragon | Bloodstone | Doomsteel | Infestation |
| Campaign | Molten Gold | Moonstone | Chroma Flux | Genesis |
| Warzone | Golden Damascus | Starglass | Absolute Zero | Apocalypse |
Exact per-tier challenges in Zombies, Campaign and Warzone differ from Multiplayer (for example, Golden Dragon asks for 10 rapid kills, 15 times). Check the challenge text in game for the weapon you are on.
What is the fastest way to grind camos in Black Ops 7?
There is no shortcut that skips the challenges, but there is an efficient order:
- Level the weapon first. A max-level weapon has every attachment open, so you can build it for low recoil and fast handling before you start counting headshots.
- Grind one class at a time. Arclight needs Shattered Gold on every weapon in a class, so finishing a full class (say, all SMGs) moves you toward the next tier. Spreading your time across random weapons does not.
- Start with the classes you play best. Assault rifles and SMGs suit most players. Leave snipers, launchers and specials for later.
- Do streak challenges in the right mode. "Kills without dying" challenges are easier in modes where you can hold an angle, and easier with a perk setup that keeps you alive.
- Consider Zombies for long grinds. Many players find the Zombies critical-kill grind more relaxed than chasing headshots in a sweaty lobby. It's a different track, but the mastery camos look just as good.
- Track your 30. Tempest and Singularity both count 30 weapons. Pick your 30 early so you never waste time on a weapon that won't count.
Season 6 is expected to be the last major Black Ops 7 season before Modern Warfare 4 releases on October 23, 2026. Your camos stay on your Black Ops 7 weapons, but if you want to finish a set while lobbies are full, now is the time.
How long does the BO7 camo grind take?
It depends heavily on your aim and the weapon. A single weapon to Shattered Gold is a project of several sessions for most players. Going all the way to Singularity means Tempest on 30 weapons, which is a long-term goal that many players spread over a full year of play.
A realistic plan for most people: get one favourite weapon to Shattered Gold, then finish one class for Arclight, then decide if the full 30-weapon run is worth it to you.
Can someone do the Black Ops 7 camo grind for you?
Yes. Our Black Ops 7 Camo Grind service completes the challenges on one weapon. Prices at the time of writing:
| Service | Price | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| First mastery camo, one weapon | $12 | 2–7 days |
| All mastery camos, one weapon | $59 | 2–7 days |
| First mastery camo on 5 weapons | $60 | Set quantity to 5 |
| Weapon leveling, one weapon to max | $9 | 1–2 days |
| Nuke in multiplayer | $15 | 1–3 days |
All of these are piloted, meaning a booster plays on your account. You see the price before paying, your login is only entered after you pay, it is encrypted and deleted after the order, and you follow progress on a private order page. More on how it works.
Activision's enforcement policy holds the account owner responsible for anything done on the account, no matter who was playing. Piloted services carry real ban risk. If you'd rather keep your login to yourself, Play With a Pro lets you queue with a high-rank player on your own account, and coaching carries no account risk at all. Read account safety first.

Black Ops 7 camo grind FAQ
How do you unlock Shattered Gold in Black Ops 7?
Finish all nine military and three special camos on the weapon in Multiplayer, then complete its Shattered Gold challenge: get three kills without dying, ten separate times. Shattered Gold is per weapon, so each gun is its own grind. Getting Shattered Gold on every weapon in a class is what opens Arclight for that class.
How do you get the Singularity camo in BO7?
Singularity is the final Multiplayer mastery camo. It has no challenge of its own: it unlocks automatically once you have Tempest on 30 weapons. Tempest needs Arclight on 30 weapons plus a challenge of five kills without dying, three times, so plan your 30 weapons from the start.
Do Black Ops 7 camos carry over between modes?
No. Multiplayer, Zombies, Campaign and Warzone each have their own camo track with separate challenges and separate mastery camos. Progress in one mode does not count toward another, so pick the mode you enjoy and focus there.
How many headshots do you need for BO7 military camos?
For most weapons it is around 80 headshot kills in total across the nine Multiplayer military camos. Shotguns use point-blank kills and snipers use one-shot kills instead. In Zombies the military camos use critical kills, roughly 1,000 per weapon.
What is the easiest mode for the BO7 camo grind?
It depends on your style. Multiplayer is the classic route but needs good aim under pressure. Many players find the Zombies grind more relaxed because the enemies are AI and critical kills come steadily. Pick the mode you will actually play for hours, since every mode has its own four mastery camos.
Is it worth paying for a Black Ops 7 camo service?
It is worth it if you want a specific camo on a specific weapon and don't have the time, and you accept the risk. A piloted service means someone else plays on your account, and Activision holds the owner responsible. If you want to learn the grind yourself, playing with a pro or coaching keeps your login private.
